Not the dentures of yesterday.

Today, dentures utilize high tech resins, custom colors and handmade properties that make them feel more comfortable, and natural looking.

New to dentures? Here is some basic info.

Partial dentures are ideal for one to a few missing teeth. With partial dentures, a metal frame clips on to your natural teeth.

Full dentures are preferable when replacing all of your teeth is the best option.

Implant-secured dentures mount onto implants that are surgically placed in your  jaw; this improves chewing up to 90% compared to traditional dentures.

Proper dental care for dentures: Brushing is a must!

Sure, dentures aren’t technically “teeth.” But the bacteria that causes plaque and gum diseases are still busy at work, and must be mitigated. The best way to do this? Brush regularly and and follow the helpful tips below:

  • Whether traditional or implant supported, brush those removable dentures every day
  • Before you place your dentures in your mouth, brush your gums, cheeks, tongue and the roof of your mouth
  • Soak your dentures overnight–never let them dry out
  • However, do not use hot water for soaking. The hot water could warp them out of shape
  • Just like you’ve always done, see your dentist once every six months for a checkup and cleaning

Implants with a bite

Implants are secured to your dentures for up to 90% better chewing. They also preserve your jaw bone and the natural shape of your face.

Extractions

Sometimes, your teeth are too badly damaged to save. In cases like these, you’ll probably need dentures. Prior to this, some teeth may need to be removed.
