Dear Valued Patient,
With the recent news about novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), we thought you’d appreciate knowing the steps Brident Dental & Orthodontics takes in each office – every day – to protect the health and safety of patients and staff.
Our goal is to provide a safe and protected environment every time you visit one of our offices. Your health and wellbeing are our highest priorities.
Brident Dental & Orthodontics is following the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the American Dental Association (ADA), and Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (http://tsbde.texas.gov/) as well as our own Quality Management Team staffed with full-time Dentists supporting our dental office teams.
The CDC has indicated that the risk of exposure to the virus for most people is low, and we continue to follow the rigorous infection control protocols we have always had in place for maintaining a clean and safe environment. For example, every dental chair and arm/headrest is thoroughly disinfected after each use. Replacement masks and gloves are used by doctors and staff with each patient treated. All exposed surfaces are sanitized after every patient treatment or exam. And sterile dental tools are used for each patient.
In addition, common areas (front desk, lobby) are disinfected repeatedly throughout the day as a precautionary measure.
When you arrive for an appointment, you will be asked to complete a brief questionnaire about your recent travel history, whether you have had contact with anyone testing positive for COVID-19, and your current state of health. If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms such as an elevated fever, cough, or shortness of breath, we will happily reschedule your appointment, when your symptoms are gone, at a time that’s convenient for you. Thank you for your understanding in helping to keep the offices safe.
Our offices continue to be a “Dental Home” for you and your family and are open to serve your dental needs. We look forward to seeing you at your next appointment.
